Scheduling an estimator to come to your home
Call Port St. Lucie moving and storage to schedule a free estimate- we will arrange for an estimator to come to your home, office, or storage unit to give you a written estimate. Having an estimator come to view the items you need moved is a safe way of having your estimate be more accurate. Even though most moving companies charge by the hour it is beneficial for the estimator to see the bulk and weight of your items. The estimator will also calculate the distance you are moving. All of these factors are key elements to making your estimate more concrete which will make your move more successful.
Quoting our hourly rates over the phone and then booking a jobThere are times when a customer needs to move as soon as possible. In this case, the customer would like us to quote them our hourly rates over the phone. If the customer is satisfied with the details of the move, at this point our professional staff will schedule a move.
If we are booking a job over the phone it is very important for the customer to give us as much information as possible regarding their move. This will insure our movers will be fully prepared in order to have a smooth move.
Customers waiting for a co or certicate of occupancy
Sometimes customers are moving but they are waiting for a completion of a new home. Some customers may have a tentative date in mind. In this case we can schedule a tentative date for the move. We can always change the tentative date and confirm an actual date as the customer gets closer to his or her closing of the property.
Customers moving out of town, but within Florida
Customers who are moving more than 6 hours away can make special arrangements with us to load their belongings the day before and receive delivery the next day.
This can make it convenient for the customer not having to unpack late in the evening.
For example: if a customer is moving to ocala it is more prqactical to load the customer’s items on wed, april 15th and deliver Thurs, April 16th. As opposed to doing the total move in one day. If you calculate the time for loading and unloading plus travel time round trip this would make for a long moving day.
Customers moving long distance - out of state
Keep in mind that when moving out of state - movers charge by weight and not by the hour.
If you are planning to move a complete house full out of Florida, we recommend an estimator come to your home to give you an estimate. We stongly suggest that all items be boxed to avoid damages. This is important because the truck is traveling many miles.and road conditions are not always good.
If you are moving out of Florida and you are only moving a partial load. (not the contents of a full home) we can give you an approximate estimate over the phone we will ask for a list of the items you are moving and with this list and mileage calculation to your new destination we are able to come up with an estimate.
