Suggested tips for packing your belongings – These tips will keep your precious items safe while making you move more efficient.
Remove & Pack any glass shelving from the entertainment center, breakfronts, china cabinets, curio cabinets or etageres (preferably wrapped in paper pads and then boxed in mirror carton.
Removable Glass in coffee tables and end tables must be wrapped in paper pads then boxed.
PSL Movers are not responsible for disconnecting or assembling any electronics such as; stereo equipment, TV’s & computers. These delicate items must be padded and packed.
Lamps and lamp shades must be boxed. If necessary remove the shade, the harp & the bulb to make packing easier. Smaller shades can be stacked into larger shades and boxed separately from the lamp.
Armoires, Hutches, Entertainment Centers, Breakfronts & Credenzas – All items must be removed and packed. Furniture is too heavy and items shift which may cause damages. Older or weaker furniture can be easily damaged.
Items in dressers can be left in the drawers, however remove any delicate items or breakables.
Do Not overstuff dressers, chests or other furniture, any small loose items should be combined with other small items and boxed – this will save time and money.
Only pack books in small boxes – Do not use a medium box.
4 Drawer file cabinets – please empty the first top two drawers, Bi-lateral file cabinets must be completely empty and boxed.
All boxes must be closed and sealed.
Wall Paintings and hanging mirrors must be paper padded and boxed.
